Welcome to the Web Site of The Reliquary Centre, situated here at Carfin Grotto, in the Diocese of Motherwell.

The present building was erected in 1998 and was opened by Bishop Devine in September of that year. It contains 735 relics of the saints of which 536 carry certificates of authentication. It is one of the largest known collections in existence.

We hope to give you an insight into not only what is contained with the Reliquary, but also some of the history and significance behind the Relics.

It would be impossible for us to highlight every Relic, hopefully in our selection we have given you a mixture of some well known and some not so well known Relics.

The reliquary is opened during the Pilgrim Season every Sunday from 1.30 pm until 3.00 pm.
